Jaci looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. She noticed an eye crusty in the corner of her right eye. Oh how she hated those things that dangled in her tear ducts. Then again, it just proved her eyes were doing the job of cleaning themselves! Good ol' human body, helping Jaci to clean her eye when we all know she would be far to lazy to do it herself.
Any who, Jaci had a couple hours before her and her band went on stage, and signing didn't happen until way after. Most of her band mates rather just roam around the bus, have some coffee and go through some songs. Jaci definitely didn't enjoy doing that. They played the songs every single night, and about a million times before that in their garage. She was pretty sure she knew the whole set list by now. Thus, instead of being in the bus, snuggled up in a blanket with her beloved mac book, she went out to see the rest of the tour.
This tour was filled with amazing shit. Vendors, media (hey media The Lovelies are THAT way! --->), merch, and of course all the fans. Meeting the fans was one of the best parts. Seeing their bright faces after they waited in line for who knows how long just to snap a picture with you and get your signature. They went through all that trouble to meet you. Sheesh, band life was absolutely awesome.
Jaci left the bathroom, wandering off and visiting some vendors and merch tables. Up ahead was Misery Nation's merch table, easy to spot due to the long line of kids parked right in front of it. A smirk came across the girl's face as she walked over to the tent. Familiar faces greeted her eyes, the whole Misery Nation band. One that caught her eye though was Caden, basically her brother from another mother. "Whaaaaasup Cadster!" she said while waving to the rest of the band. She went around the table, grabbing an empty chair to sit with the band. Sure, she wasn't in the band but they were so tight that it definitely felt like it sometimes.

WISH I'D SAVED UP FOR RAINY DAYS CAUSE THEY'RE THE HARDEST TO BE DRY I'VE GOT NO SELF CONTROL ALWAYS BEGGING INTO TELEPHONES Caden Morgan blinked into the bright sunlight as he roamed around the grounds, pausing about every ten seconds to take pictures with fans or sign something. He did it happily, smiling for the camera and kissing fangirls on the cheeks. They loved it, so he loved it. Hanging out with fans was one of the best parts of what he did. Not only was it a huge ego boost, he liked to make others happy. And if he could make the world a happier place by simply hamming it up, he was happy to do so. He had left his band's table a bit ago to roam the crowds, but the sun and the masses of people made him want to sit down. He plopped down at some random band's table, greeting all of them like best friends. Everyone was best friends here, no doubt about that.
He pulled his hat down over his eyes and slouched in his chair, preparing for a nap. He was starting to doze off when he heard a familiar and bouncy voice saying his name. He looked up slowly, blinking rapidly as he pulled his hat back onto his head. His face broke into a smile when he saw who it was. "Jace!" He exclaimed, standing up to greet her. He scooped the little girl up into a hug and spun her around, setting her lightly back down onto her feet and giving her a crooked grin. He plopped back down awkwardly next to her, pulling his hat down a little more onto his head. "How are you doing, lovely?" he asked, pulling a slightly lame pun on the name of her band.
He looked around the grounds and jumped up to his feet. "Let's get out of here. I wanna explore!" He grabbed her hand and pulled her to her feet, slinging his arm around her shoulders and taking a long stride forward. "Look, Jaci. Everything the light touches is our kingdom." He stood tall, Lion King style, and gestured wildly. "I mean, seriously though. We are living the dream!" He slung his arm around her once more and started to walk through the crowd. A few people asked if they were dating, and he just winked and said "Honey, we're married."
People probably wouldn't take it too seriously, everyone knew that him and Jaci were the best of friends. He loved being around her, her energy was infectious. Sometimes they would play a song or two with each other's bands, and she would always dance circles around him as she sang and played. Their energy fed off of the other's, and they just had an aura about them when they were together.

“Waah!” the sound escaped her mouth as she slung into a big bear hug from her bestest friend on the tour, Caden. A smile grew on her face, she was always happy to see him. Out of everyone she had ever met, he probably definitely knew her the best. Things were always fun whenever they were hanging out, and he always made a frown turn upside down. She remembered when they had first met they instantly clicked. “Ah, clever.” she said with sarcasm running through her tone, a brow raised. “I’m fucking dandy!” she cracked her knuckles, a gross habit that she had inherited from her Dad as a kid. “What about you…” she tried to think of a comeback just a clever to fit along with his band name, but it just didn’t work out that way. “…register…man.” she shook her hand, then cracked a laugh at how stupid her words sounded.
Now that I think about it, if Jaci had never met up with the rest of the girls in The Lovelies, she would’ve never gone on tour with them. If she had never gone on tour, she would have never have met Caden. Jeez, a life without Caden around? That would be torture for her. How did she even live before this tour?! Oh gosh, let’s not even think about those obviously dark days. Then again, she probably would’ve just been another one of Open Register’s fan girls. She was definitely a fan of their music, and you’d probably see frequently at their shows, reciting every word of every song perfectly in sync.
Jaci felt his hand instantly grab hers, slinging her up from her seat. “Gosh, easy now. I’m fragile!” she said, brushing off the nonexistent dust from the front of her shirt. She walked along with the boy, his arm sliding down her shoulders. “So does that mean everything that’s in the shade isn’t ours? What about when it’s night time?!” she said with playful terror in her voice! “Oh noez! That means everywhere that’s nice and cool isn’t ours! We have to have our crazy adventures in the heat!” she couldn’t help but notice looks from some of the people they passed. They were either staring because a) they were both band members and people recognized them or b) people thought they were dating. Both were very popular choices, but b was not correct.
Don’t get me wrong, Jaci definitely didn’t find Caden ugly, very much otherwise actually. In her eyes, Caden carried lots of good genes from his parents, and his amazing personality just added to it. Dating would be a bit weird though, Caden felt like her brother. Then again, they did act like it. She never found it surprising when people asked, the two always thinking of some new crazy answer. Who knows though? Maybe they’ll pull a Lizzie McGuire, like Lizzie and Gordo falling in love at the end! Eh, time will only tell.
“So, where are we off to?” she asked him, looking through the crowd.

WISH I'D SAVED UP FOR RAINY DAYS CAUSE THEY'RE THE HARDEST TO BE DRY I'VE GOT NO SELF CONTROL ALWAYS BEGGING INTO TELEPHONES Caden chuckled softly, shaking his head and looking down at the small girl. "Oh, no Jace. Don't even try." He honestly thought that she was hilarious, though. Most of the time when they were together, he seemed to be bent in half in a fit of laughter. Jaci had that effect on him. Something about her presence made you want to laugh and love and get the most out of life. Jaci could easily be considered one of his best friends. She fit in seamlessly with the guys in his band, even his past girlfriends didn't get all jealous around her, they all loved her. She had a way of charming everyone her big ol' eyes landed upon.
Caden listened to her comment about the dark parts of tour, and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I swear, Jaci. You're the cause of my migraines." He didn't mean it, though, the two were just always sarcastic and jokey with each other. "I mean, seriously. I'm trying to be funny over here and you just ruin it..." He shot her a loving smile, though, and gently cuffed her jaw with his fist. He slid his arm from around her shoulders down to her hand, and spun her in a circle. He led her through the crowd at a skip, causing quite a few stares, but not really caring how stupid they looked. "JACE. DO YOU WANT A PIGGY BACK RIDE?" He yelled much louder than he really needed to, but the buzz around the tour grounds was making him really hyper.
Without waiting for her reply, he hoisted her onto his back and spun in a circle, holding on tightly to her little legs. "Hm. I don't know where I want to go. I was thinking Narnia? Or Hogwarts." He slowed to a walk and thought once more. "No, but really. I don't know. No one has parties at two pm." He pulled a frowny face even though she couldn't see it from his back, and continued to walk against the current of the crowd, hearing quite a few cameras click as he did so.
Unless... He smirked and dropped Jaci down from his back. "Let's have a party of our own!" The thought of being alone with Jaci was pretty appealing, if he was to be honest. He didn't exactly have feelings for her, persay, but you never know. And throw a bottle of vodka into the mix, and feelings may change. Caden was pretty much down for anything at anytime, he liked to live life on the edge.

Pouty lips and widened eyes were shot straight to Caden's face. "That's not very nice!" she pretended to wipe a tear from her left eye. "I'm going to start crying!" she said, adding a sniffle for effect. Without even realizing it, Jaci was spun into a circle then dizzily start skipping throughout the crowd of teens and young adults. All of a sudden, they stopped and she was up on Caden's back. "What did I say about me equaling fragile?!" she yelled loudly, people giving the two extremely strange stares. Eh, they were used to it by now and frankly, they could care less. As long as they were comfortable with each other, why did it matter what others think? Oh right, it didn't. Who00ot!
"I vote for Narnia. I mean, Hogwarts is cool and stuff but it is technically a school." she spat out quickly, feeling extremely pumped and exhilarated from all the sudden movements. "and well, it's summer! and I say, fuck school in the ass!" the last line was probably said a lot louder then the appropriate sound level. Oops!
Suddenly, she heard a few camera's going off. She looked straight into one of the camera's lenses, giving it a super wide smile with her eyes tightly closed. The fan looked at the image once it reappeared on the screen, giving it a chuckle. "That's true..." her voice trailed off.
Another sudden stop, and Jaci slid off Caden's back. Jaci gasped at his proposition, "What a great idea!" she began to do the cabbage patch in place, more stares coming her way along with a few more clicks of a camera. She stopped, laughing at how silly she was. Looking around her, she saw tons of strangers and a few merch tents that would probably have booze stashed under their tables. Actually, scratch that. They would definitely have booze stashed under their tables. "Let's go check out some vendors and merch tables. I'm sure they have some alcohol they'd love to share with the two of us!" she said, excitement running through her voice.
Getting drunk at two in the afternoon was something Jaci had never experienced before, but that was about to change right now. And with her best friend? Even fucking better.
