--- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) Today, if anything, had been a completely terrible day. The young woman lay on her bed in total exhaustion as she stared at the high ceiling in front of her. The band had a show that day, and well, let's say things didn't go so greatly for the young woman. She kept messing up on every god damn note, at least, it felt like it. Penny was horribly competitive and serious about what she did, so whenever she messed up, she wanted to slap herself and took it a lot more harsher then several other people that she knew. Of course, she wouldn't complain too much, but again, she'd probably go completely mental if she kept thinking about it. She needed to sleep.
Rolling over, she buried her head deeply into her pillow, waiting for the familiar feeling of sleep to take over her entire body. However, before she could experience one of her favorite feelings in the world, she felt a hand latch onto her arm and practically yank her out of bed. Eyes widen, she looked over at her friend with the most frightened look. But as soon as she noticed the woman's attire, or should I say, lack of clothes, and wide smile on her face, Penny knew exactly what that meant.
Pennylane sighed lightly to herself, and quickly got off of her bed and walked towards her closest, pulling out one of her outfits. If she had it her way, she would just go in her pajamas that consisted of some shorts and a tanktop, but the last time she had tried that, her friend gave her this long lecture and scolding about how she needed to make herself presentable when going out. Luckily, though, she had the changing pros of a skill due to sometimes having to jump off stage and switching outfits during a guitar solo or something of the sort. Literally about two minutes later, she was completely clothed; shoes on and everything. Going over to her full length mirror, she silently looked herself over. She wasn't per say wearing too much clothing; just a tightish blue, strapless dress, that made its way to about her midthigh. Although, she had ridiculously long legs, so it might appear a tad bit shorter then what she wanted. But standing next to her friend, she looked like a nun. Her outfit looked more on the lines of a fancy... swimsuit, or something. With see through veils that defiantly flaunted her body. She also had so many accessories that she couldn't even count, while Penny only wore her black heels, and carried a silver wallet-like handbag. Oh yes, she defiantly would have to keep an eye on her buddy tonight.
Normally the woman would be dragged to a local club or something of the sort and then be the one to drive them home, or walk them home safely, but her friend had caught word that there was going to be a party at a hotel for, well, all the bands in this certain tour that she was on. She slightly expected to become a somewhat babysitter while on this tour, but luckily, she didn't really mind it. Supposedly the whole point of this party was to celebrate new week or something of the sort, but she knew that was just a lame excuse. People wanted to party because they felt like it; what was so wrong with just saying that? This hotel she was going to that night was quite a close distance, so there was no need to call upon her other band mates to get a car and drive them and disturb 'em, or even call a taxi. No, walking was completely fine. It was just late, and the only thing she worried about was getting jumped or something of the sort.
The best thing about being in the big cities that the tours brought her on was how crowded it always seemed to be, no matter what time of the day it was. The street was filling with bustling cars while the sidewalks were covered with people walking without a destination. It was weird because she knew her face was well known, yet since she found herself to be cooped around so many people, barely anyone recognized her. There were only a few people who did, and she gladly stopped to take a picture with them or to sign an autograph.
They finally arrived there safely, and knocked on the door. A boy about her age answered it, a beer in one hand while a blunt was in the other. He winked at her and she slightly froze, never knowing what to do when people threw her this sort of behavior. Her friend immediately rolled her eyes and grabbed onto Penny's hand, letting them both go past him and into the very, very crowded room.
Not surprisingly, her hand was immediately let go once her friend had found the free alcohol that they provided. Penny laughed lightly to herself as she watched the beyond content look that had reached her friend's face as she picked up the beer and immediately chugged it, then head off to the part of the room where everybody was dancing. Oh so typical. Shaking her head, Penny let herself fall back against the bare wall, not exactly being the most social person there. Hell, she never was. Her crystal eyes soon skimmed the room and let herself look over the guests, wondering if she could recognize anybody.

SHE CAN KILL WITH A SMILE SHE CAN WOUND WITH HER EYES SHE CAN RUIN YOUR FAITH WITH HER CASUAL LIES With one leg in his jeans and one out, Caden Morgan hopped around the tour bus, searching to find the shirt that he had been planning on wearing. He really wasn't the most organized person, and he really wasn't good at rushing. He paused to pull his jeans on all the way, and went back to his closet, grumbling. He pulled out another shirt, mumbled "This will do", and pulled it on. There was some hotel party tonight, and it was supposed to be one of the parties of the year. Whatever, Caden was down as long as there were cute girls and free alcohol. Caden tended to act like a bit of a manslut, but it was all in good fun, and he treated girls well. In all honesty, he was still a virgin. He took it pretty much all the way, but either made some excuse before it got to that, or passed out or something. It was just a weird thing for him.
Caden wasn't really a heavy drinker, but some nights he drank more. A lot more. He had a feeling tonight would be one of those nights. He was already on his second beer, and he hadn't even left the house. Caden didn't want to get really drunk and embarrass himself, but people and parties were just so much more fun when you had a good amount of alcohol in your blood stream. Especially girls. He was a whole lot more suave when he didn't have the bubble of insecurities around him. Not to say he was insecure, because the boy had a pretty big ego, but everyone has a little bit of self doubt.
By now he was finally on his way out of the door, car keys in one hand. He left the bus and slid into his Audi TTS Coupe, his pride and joy. The car was probably his favorite thing in the entire world, mainly because he had managed to buy it himself. One of the perks of being in a successful band was the money, Caden wasn't going to lie. But he was in it for the music, that was always his reason. And maybe the girls, too.
After about ten minutes, he pulled up to the hotel where the party was going on. As soon as he stepped in the door, he was greeted by quite a few people and handed a drink. He took a long sip and cringed a little. The drink, whatever it was, was really strong and his throat practically yelled at him, but he quieted it by taking an even larger gulp, and eventually the discomfort changed into a warm and fuzzy feeling deep in his chest.
He talked his way through the crowd, fist bumping fellow band members and randoms, complimenting girls on their outfits, and high fiving quite a few people. By the time he made it to the other side of the room, he had gone through two drinks, and was on the border of tipsy and I'm-starting-to-get-drunk. He was almost all the way through the crowd when he spotted a familiar little blonde girl standing against the wall. A smirk spread onto his face. Penny was one of his favorite girls to talk to. It was pretty obvious that she liked him, so talking to her was not only a huge ego boost, but he actually enjoyed her company as well. She was a little nervous thing, and honestly, he thought it was adorable when he overtly flirted with her and she got all awkward and squirmy.
He made a beeline straight towards her, singing as soon as she was in earshot. "Penny lane, there is a barber showing photographs of every head he's had the pleasure to know..." He trailed off as he stood next to her, a big smile on his face. "How're you, shiny new Penny?" He leaned into her a little closer than he really needed to and traced a finger lightly down her bare arm. Yep, he definitely could be classified as drunk right about now. He ran his eyes over the small girl, absentmindedly wrapping a piece of her hair around his finger. A tray came by with more drinks and he swiftly snagged two, handing one to Penny and clinking his glass against hers, draining half of it in one gulp.
"You look really nice, Penny." he murmured, leaning down and speaking directly into her ear, his lips grazing it just a tiny bit. He didn't want to exploit her or anything, but he definitely wouldn't mind lulling her into making out with him in a corner somewhere. It was just up to her and what she decided she wanted to do. Caden, at this point, was open to anything. "Do you want to go somewhere a little quieter?"
PENNYLANE - 800 exactly.. - this fails a lot - she's always a woman by fyfe dangerfield

--- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) The loud thumping of the speakers seemed to make the entire room vibrate. The walls behind her seemed to thrust forward with the beats, while the floor beneath her heels seemed to do anything but stay still. But maybe the rug she was on was just movable and plus, everyone else seemed to step extra hard or something while they danced. This looked like quite a fancy hotel, hopefully the owners of it had managed to put in soundproof walls, keep the rooms quite a distance apart, or maybe it's just where they got lucky enough to where everybody else who were in the rooms around them this late were out partying on their own or just didn't care about the loud, loud sounds coming from this spacious suite. Hell, probably some of the neighbors heard the party and had joined; there were defiantly some unfamiliar, nonfamous people in this crowd that she had looked over. Whatever was the case, she just pleaded to herself that this party wouldn't end up being a complete bust and end up having it end with the police coming to shut it down. That would just make a horribly ruined night for everyone.
It soon seemed to get to a point where the young woman couldn't even seem to look around anymore. Otherwise she'd end up making awkward eye contact with at least a dozen boys who were staring back at her, meaning they would most likely come over and attempt to have a conversation with her, all wasted like and such, and then she would feel even more uncomfortable then normal. It's not that she didn't know how to deal with drunken kids, she did that all the time, no it was just the fact that most of the unfamiliar men she talked to at parties had a lot more on their mind then just a nice conversation. She wasn't naive. But at least she wasn't one of those people who held them responsible and officially decided to dislike them every time she saw them afterwords or something of the sort. Nah, she knew people lost their senses the more they drank, so it wasn't too big of a deal and just let it go. She just never liked it at the time because she wasn't good at handling those situations.
Even as Penny closed her eyes, she could feel several people still staring at her; it was like burning holes hitting her or something of the sort. She wondered how lame she looked right now, standing all by herself. Probably slightly pathetic, and she knew how lame that looked to other people. So, she looked anti-social like? She immediately shrugged her shoulders to herself and as soon as the question had hit her, it was gone. Pennylane was excellent when it came to not caring and throwing things out of her mind that she wasn't very fond of.
Throwing her head back against the wall, she tilted it upwards with her eyes still closed. Her plump lips separated ever so slightly as she ran a hand through her hair. She could begin to feel the music going through her body, and a light sigh escaped her lips as she ran her hand slowly down her neck to her upper chest, rubbing the soft part of where her heart might be laying underneath. She was starting to get antsy and needed at least some sort of entertainment for her not to get so bored, so quickly.
Penny's thoughts, however, were soon interrupted by a voice. She slowly opened her eyes and moved her hand down back to her side. She raised an eyebrow in curiosity and watched the boy make his way over to her. At hearing the song lyrics soon escape his mouth, Penny couldn't help but to let a small smile appear on her plump lips. Her light blue eyes looked up into his deep brown ones, as her body felt that warm tingliness is always did upon seeing the boy. She couldn't understand why she got so happy to see him, but well, she did, and she guessed it was probably better not to question herself.
"I'm quite good. And how about yourself, candy Caden?" She asked with slight humor on her tongue. She watched in curiosity as he leaned in closer to her, not exactly sure what he was going to do. But her questions were soon answered as she felt his warm touch on her soft skin, and also how they were playing with her silky strands. Pennylane could practically feel her heart rate fasten inside her chest, while her body tensed up. As he pulled away to get the drinks, the young woman quietly felt herself let out a breath of air that had seemed to be held in captivity in her lungs, and felt her body loosen up again.
As he handed her a drink, she smiled thankfully at the gesture, but didn't exactly know how to tell him that she didn't drink. Well, at least she didn't unless it was a very special occasion. She watched with her head cocked slightly to the side as he drank half of it in one gulp, while her full glass just sat in her hands. Before she could think up a comment to say though as to why she wasn't drinking, she felt Caden's lips slightly on her ear as he told her how nice she looked. That already fast beaten heart of hers felt like it was about explode out of her chest, now. See, Penny's weak spot had always been her ears. Always. Just not a lot of people, let's rephrase that, practically no one knew that since they never had a chance to try anything out. But she was almost positive that her heart rate was going so fast right now, that he would surely hear it through her chest. She needed to calm herself down.
Jumping away from him slightly, Pennylane rubbed the back of her neck and laughed nervously. "Thank you.
" She said with a small unsure smile on her lips. She could feel the heat rush to her face, obviously knowing how red it was now, so she let her gaze remain on the floor in hopes that he couldn't see it. " You look nice, too." Although she wasn't exactly looking at him at the moment, she was being truthful from what she had said minutes ago. The heat soon passed and she quickly looked back up at him at hearing his suggestion. Normally the young woman knew better, especially seeing as he was defiantly not sober. But, it was Caden... was it possible for her to say no to a face like that? Pennylane stood on her tiptoes in order to look over his shoulder. She scanned the room until she could find her slightly tipsy friend, still dancing away in the middle of the room. She'd be fine without Penny watching her for a few minutes... right? Yeah. Yeah, she would. It was still early on in the night, anyways sge couldn't get into too much trouble. " Okay." Penny replied quietly as she nodded her head in agreement.
