" hey, can you take our picture?" brady turned his head to see a group of four very cute girls offering a camera, and he smiled charmingly, reaching out to grab the camera. the girls were cute; wearing only tank tops and shorts that were so short you could see the pocket sticking out by the thigh. god, he loved this hot weather. he took the camera and then back them, " only if i can be in it," he said with a grin, his eyes and expression playful. not only did he love this weather, but he loved his job. he was constantly being flocked by people -- many which were, also, cute girls. they all giggled, and he was delighted that they were so easily swooned. but he took the picture of himself with the girls and then the group by themselves. " what are you lovely ladies doing today?" they giggled again then proceeded to tell him that they were going to be at the venue all day and then try to hunt down some of the bands, naming most of the all boy-bands that sounded just like every band out there. not that he was going to mention that part. but he just laughed, nodded, and acted interested. after a few minutes of talking, flirting, and giving out his number, the group left to go see one of their beloved boy bands. silly girls. brady sat slowly, resting his chin in one of his hands -- most everyone had gone to watch the bands that were playing, and he couldn't help but smile. the atmosphere around here was so free; so fun. it was rather contagious, too. when you saw the crowds screaming and cheering for their favorite bands, you almost wanted to jump up and scream with them. especially if the lead singer was a hot girl. or just a hot girl in the band in general. hmmm. what could he say? not only was he male, but he was a young adult male that was currently single and bored. so, okay, maybe it wasn't so good to only date to entertain yourself, to have something to do (both literally and not), but he couldn't help it. brady got bored easily, and he got annoyed with the small things about girls. and that's why he tried to change them. but that usually ended badly, seeing as he could get rather... rough sometimes. okay, really rough. but brady didn't quite see anything wrong with it! why would he? girls were just girls. you could find them anywhere. hell, there were girls on the street selling their bodies for money. that just showed that brady's father had been right about them all along. to brady, girls weren't that important. sure, they kept the birth rate up, and they were nice to have around, but they were annoying. clingy and whiny, and they constantly bitched about things no one would ever notice. so why were so many people obsessed with thoughts of getting married to them? brady couldn't really imagine doing anything more than dating them and having sex with them. and dating them often seemed like more than enough -- they were always talking to other boys, flirting, cheating, being drama queens in general. they weren't worth the trouble. or maybe brady's view was seriously warped and he was way to possessive. nah. brady continued scanning the venue until, out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone approaching the table. the young man stood up and brushed off his jeans, the charming smile returning to his lips, bright sparkle returning to his eyes, " hey hey, welcome to drop dead clothing. what's up?" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAG open! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Lovelies had just finished the last song of their set, a grin wide across their keytar player, Jaci’s, face. All the girls stared into the distance of the crowd, everyone cheering, clapping, and whooping. Jaci was in awe. She was in awe due to the fact that her life was beyond amazing. Due to the fact that she got to end her day with a crowd cheering her and her band mates on every day. Due to the fact she got to visit a different city every night with her four best friends. Due to the fact she got to do what she loved. It was a life that little girls around the world dreamt of, but she was living it instead. Absolutely awesome.
“Thanks for coming out to see us guys!” the crowd cheered even louder. “Make sure you guys come by our tent at 4:15! We’ll be signing and selling merch!” another wave of cheering streaming through the sky.
Jaci looked down at her keytar, quickly unplugging it before walking off stage with the rest of the Lovely family. Once they were out of sight’s reach, they gave each other a tight group hug. Part of their after show ritual. As they let go, Jaci slid her iPhone out of her right jean pocket, checking the time. She still had about 2 hours before the meet and greet. “I’m going to go walk around guys.” the girls nodded, “See you at the tent!” she finished off before handing her keytar to a techie. The techies were so convenient and kind. They were always willing to set up and put away all of the girl’s instruments, but then again that was what they were getting paid for!
This was Jaci’s favorite part of the tour, besides performing of course. Walking around to all the vendors, seeing some old friends, meeting some new ones. There was really never a dull moment on this tour. Most of the vendors were busy, but one that seemed pretty calm at the moment was the Drop Dead Clothing. She hadn’t checked them out yet, and she did make a goal to herself that she’d check out every one at least once by the end of the tour. Eh, what the heck?
She walked up to the tent, noticing a boy that definitely didn’t lack good looks in his genes. A small smile appeared on her face, “Hey!” she was a bit surprised at how kind he was. Good salesmen techniques, for the win! “Eh, not much.” she said with a bit of a shrug. “Just walking around.” she looked down at the clothes, liking a few of them. One that really caught her eye was a tank top with a wolf’s face across the front. (<-- click!) “How much is that one?” she asked while pointing to the shirt.

brady had always been really bad when it came to relationships ever since he could remember. for some odd reason, he just hated it when people didn't listen to him. that mixed with the disrespect towards women he'd learned from when he was younger led to a rather bad combination. brady was neither faithful nor good towards his girlfriend. in fact, he would probably be considered an abusive boyfriend that should be put in jail for domestic violence. but, of course, those girls never told. they were too ashamed and scared. besides, most people always took the male's side -- girls had constant mood swings and were just plain annoying half the time. but then again, brady usually didn't care about how annoying they were if they were good in other areas. wink, wink. brady was a dog, what could he say? he strongly believed that men dominated over women and that, in the end, they were better. they were stronger, smarter. but enough with women and their rights! brady was, once you first met him, an awesome guy. personable and easy to get along with for the most part. unless you caught him on his sarcastic-streak, he was a pretty good guy. but his ex-girlfriends never thought so in the end.
the young man whistled as he sorted out the shirts, fixing and folding them, readjusting price tags and restocking. he stood to his feet as the pretty girl approached closer, still smiling charmingly, "six hundred seven dollars," he said easily and then looked her over again, raising an eyebrow, "but for you, i might be able to lower the price about twenty-five dollars." so maybe brady was a player. okay, there was no maybe about it. he was a player that would try and charm his way into any girl's pants. then he paused, his brow furrowing as he looked at the girl again, "shit, i've seen you before. you're... the lovelies, right? jackie or something like that? you play the keytar or something, yeah?" brady wasn't very into girl bands. he believed that three out of four girl bands sucked and the only reason they should keep touring and being on stage was because they were hot and, most of the time when they performed, they wore really skimpy clothing. and brady enjoyed skimpy clothing, "where are you guys from, again?" he asked curiously, readjusting a few more of the t-shirts to keep his hands busy and so he looked like he was actually being, you know, productive. brady glanced up, searching her face -- she looked so innocent. sweet and friendly.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jaci raised her eyebrow when he announced the price of the much wanted shirt. “Oh,” she said, a smirk growing on her face. “Is that so?” she looked up to his face, his good looks striking her. “That is so kind of you!” she finished off, sarcasm running through her tone of voice. Well shit, she had to buy the shirt now. How could she say no? She pulled out a crinkled stack of money from butt back pocket. She pulled out the twenty five he had requested, stuffing the other ten into the pocket.
She didn’t like to carry a lot with her when she went walking around on the tour. She definitely had a bad habit of buying a bunch of shit she didn’t need. She noticed that when she didn’t carry as much money with her, she re thought whether or not she needed everything. It definitely saved her money. Besides, she could easily lose money when she placed it so carelessly in her jean pockets. Eh, purses weren’t really her thing unless she went to a formal dinner or something, and how many rock stars have you heard of going to formal dinners? Exactly.
She handed him the money, “Can I have an extra small?” Even an extra small would be loose on the fragile girl. What could you expect? Just by giving her a tight hug, you’d probably crack a rib. Her eating habits were horrible…and when I say horrible I mean she has an eating disorder. She’s had one ever since high school, and just when people thought it was getting better, it plunged back into the ground. She couldn’t help it though; she hated the thought of being the least bit chubby especially because when she was younger, she was constantly teased for her body.
Jaci looked up at him, a bit surprised that he knew whom she was. Sure she was in The Lovelies, but wasn’t the lead singer…who got most of the attention she hated to admit. Not that she had a huge problem with that though; she still got to live the great tour life and all the perks that came with it. She let out a sigh under her breath, “It’s actually pronounced jay – sea.” she tried her hardest to not sound annoyed, but she couldn’t really help it. Ever sense she was a little kid, every teacher on the first day of school would call her Jackie, even though she would repeatedly tell them they were saying it wrong. Of course they didn’t remember though.
“But yeah, I do.” she said with a nod, a small smile appearing on her face, trying to redeem herself from the bitchy tone. “The beautiful New York.”
She loved talking about her hometown because she just couldn’t get enough of it. Sure, she lived in Brooklyn but who cares? it wasn’t too far from the city. Most kids hate growing up in their city, always wanting to move some where far far away, but that wasn’t the case for Jaci. She loved New York and everything that came with it. The city gave her so much freedom, staying up all night with her friends just partying it up. All of the cute cafes and overpriced boutiques. The typical tourist with a Hawaiian t shirt, black sunglasses, visor and fanny pack was always a good laugh. New York was just absolutely the best place ever in Jaci’s eyes.
